I am a homeowner/business. How could I buy green energy? (Back to Top)

You can choose to buy green energy from the "how to BUY GREEN” page of the RenewWebster.org website. This is an easy way to use renewable energy without installing solar panels or wind turbine at your property. Each green kilowatt-hour is certified that it is generated from a renewable energy source.

One option is to sign-up under Sterling Planet’s Sterling Wind™ program to buy nationally sourced 100% wind energy regardless of your utility. You can choose to buy $10, $15 or $20 per month of wind energy, or choose to match 50%, 75% or 100% of your monthly use of conventional energy with all-wind energy. You will be billed separately from your utility company.

If you get a bill from RG&E or NYSEG, you can choose to buy wind-generated energy from RG&E or NYSEG under their NewWind Energy® program and have it billed directly to your monthly bill. You can choose how much to buy by monthly Kilowatt-hours or by how much you want to spend (as little as $5 per month).
